Project Renewal’s ScanVan, the nation’s first mobile mammography clinic, was launched to reach under or uninsured women and provide critical healthcare.
The ScanVan provides clinical breast exams, mammograms, tuberculosis (TB) tests, and health education. The van visits homeless shelters, drop-in centers and street-side locations in all five boroughs of New York City.
Partnering with community-based organizations that identify women who need services, we never turn any woman away, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.
