Social Enterprise

Our social purpose enterprises combine solutions to end homelessness with profitable business ventures.  Renewal Farm, an organic farm in upstate New York, helps homeless men with histories of addiction to become sober and develop job skills.  The farm sells fresh produce at a farmers market throughout the growing season.  City Beet Kitchens Catering is our full-service catering business which employs graduates of the Culinary Arts Training Program.  Our ventures are not merely self-sustaining - they are growing.  Since its inception in 1997, City Beet Kitchens (formerly "Comfort Foods") has grown from a small catering operation into a full scale business with an annual income of over $2 million.
