Outreach

Our history of innovation began in 1967, when Project Renewal's case managers reached out to homeless adults living on the streets of New York City.  Since then, Project Renewal has developed an expertise in helping the hardest to serve street homeless adults and connecting them to the services they most need. In 1983, we launched the Mobile Psychiatric Outreach Program: the first program to provide psychiatric outreach, assessment and treatment services at New York City drop-in centers.  Today, our outreach initiatives have expanded to include a fleet of medical vans which connect homeless people to medical care and other supportive services to rebuild their lives.
