Erika Hval, MS
Vice President of Development"My work requires that I listen to and learn from leaders in housing, healthcare, employment, program evaluation, policy—the list goes on—all of whom are first and foremost experts on caring for others. Then I demonstrate to our supporters the important impact of their giving. How lucky am I?"
Erika Hval has supported Project Renewal’s development efforts since 2019, when she established the agency’s first formal fundraising strategy related to corporate and foundation giving. With Erika’s leadership, Project Renewal has significantly expanded its institutional donor portfolio, including private, city, state, and federal grants.
Erika has further launched Project Renewal’s Associate Board, strengthened discretionary funding partnerships with elected officials, and more deeply integrated the development department with program teams. She drives organizational visibility and relationship-building to grow program innovation, foster donor collaboration, and ultimately meet client need.
