Doing Good Deliciously
City Beet Kitchens (CBK) is a groundbreaking social purpose catering company owned and operated by Project Renewal. For over 30 years, CBK has fed millions of people living in housing programs throughout New York City.
CBK grew out of the Culinary Arts Training Program, providing an opportunity for the hands-on training that students needed. Over 50% of the employees at CBK are graduates of the Culinary Arts Training Program.
Today, this is New York City’s only social purpose catering company that trains and employs New Yorkers who have formerly experienced homelessness.
When you order from City Beet Kitchens, the revenue flows back into Project Renewal, thereby fueling the Culinary Arts Training Program and helping us reach thousands more people who are ready to enter the workforce and join the restaurant industry, a field that has an abundance of entry-level opportunities, background-friendly hiring processes, and strong pathways for upward mobility.
“Spectacular, incredible! I would recommend City Beet Kitchens not just because they’re a non-profit, but because they’re the best.” Neil, CBK Events Catering Client
