Our most robust program, the Next Step Internship Program (NSIP) is a full-time, eight-week, award-winning training that provides a combination of professional classroom and paid on-the-job training in a New York City homeless shelter or supportive housing facility. Interns gain the essential skills and experience to begin their career working as a Residential Aide, Front Desk/House Manager, or Maintenance Worker.
Clients participating in this program must be 90 days sober from any substance use, commit to participating in the full program, and actively look for employment upon graduation.
NSIP actively prepares New Yorkers for a career in social services–and our clients are achieving success.
In 2022, 94% of graduates were placed into jobs, and the 75 graduates from 2023 are earning $23.74 per hour on average.
