Healing for Negusse
Negusse came to America as a young immigrant from war-torn Eritrea. He was living on the streets, suffering from multiple untreated health conditions. He had little hope for the future. “There were times when I thought I wouldn’t wake up the next morning,” he says.
Things changed when Negusse learned about Project Renewal’s mobile medical van. Our team’s approach to health care felt personal to him.
“Project Renewal was always there for me at my lowest point, when nobody else was,” Negusse says.
The primary care and medication he received on the van helped him get back on his feet. He even received glasses and dentures from Project Renewal. Now, Negusse is employed and has been housed for more than a decade.
