Vice President of Programs"I was inspired to go into social work by following my older sister's footsteps, but it quickly became a life-long passion. Working with marginalized populations is meaningful and powerful beyond words. Nothing is more important to me than helping to empower others through advocacy and direct care."
Jasmine Cummings has been with Project Renewal since 2008 and began her career here as a Case Manager at 3rd Street Shelter. She has been consistently promoted throughout her tenure and has been part of three innovative start-up projects. She served as Clinical Director at The Villa, Director of Social Services at East Williamsburg Shelter, Program Director at Bedford Green House, and, most recently, Senior Director of Programs.
Jasmine has led through times of difficulty and transition, providing impressive leadership and support in her role as Program Director at Kenton Hall Shelter during the Covid-19 pandemic and the transition to and from The Lucerne Hotel. She also successfully opened and leased up Bedford Green House Phase I in 2022, ensuring a smooth transition for both staff and clients.
Jasmine holds her Master’s Degree in Social Work.
