Michael Wade, who joined Project Renewal in 2020 as Director of IT Projects & Enterprise Applications, combines a strong background in healthcare with a passion for technology across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Michael was introduced to technology at the age of 12 and cultivated a lifelong interest in technological innovation to drive business success. At just 19, Michael became a pharmacist in Guyana, South America, and later conducted proteins and cancer research at the National Institutes of Health. This unique blend of expertise inspired Michael to merge healthcare with technology, driving transformative solutions to complex challenges.
As the Interim Vice President of Information Technology, Michael leverages digital transformation to advance the organization’s mission of ending homelessness and empowering individuals through housing, healthcare, workforce development, and more. With a commitment to innovation and a passion for human services, Michael is dedicated to creating sustainable, tech-driven solutions that improve lives and communities.
Prior to Project Renewal, Michael held roles at Optimus Health Analytics (SOMOS Community Care & SOMOS Innovation), Bronx Partners for Healthy Communities (DSRIP/PPS – SBH Health System), and NYC Health + Hospitals/Enterprise IT Services. Michael holds an AS in Pharmacy from the University of Guyana, a BS in Biology from CUNY-Brooklyn College, and will complete an MBA in Technology/Business Management in May 2025 at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
